Quills Coffee
930 Baxter Avenue, Lousville KY 40206
On Jul 13, 2011, Reviewer John Letoto says:
VIS: The capp was a solid, but not necessarily spectacular pour from Philip. The capp had a bit of milk that dripped onto the outer crema ring right at the top, and the heart was a touch to the right, but as I said, it was solid.
C&P: The brown ring was present, and though there were some bubbles present in the ring, that was due to my sloshing it a bit as I walked back to my table. Milk was consistent and textured well.
TASTE: Chocolate and floral notes galore. The milk temp was reading at 116 ℉ after I was halfway through the capp, which, even accounting for heat loss, made it immediately drinkable and delicious. Very enjoyable.

PERSONALITY: Philip is one of the most genuinely nice guys you'll ever have the pleasure of serving you coffee, and he was no different on this occasion. He took the time to make sure the shot was spot-on, and he probably would have done it even had he not known I was gonna review him ;)

ATMOSPHERE: Quills was as it often is on a weekday afternoon -- relaxed, with a decent crowd doing some work and enjoying good coffee and tea. It says a lot that I enjoy going in even when I'm not working.

(Disclosure: I'm a barista and lead roaster at Quills... but Dan made me review it!)
